Must I consume Food and Drink in a Specific Way?
• | Don't overeat at any one meal. | |||
• | Chew your food well TO THE EXTREME with small mouthfuls. A large mouthful CANNOT be chewed well; | |||
• | Make sure that you are drinking at least 8 glasses of pure Water per day. More depending on climatic and activity conditions; | |||
• | Avoid alcohol; | |||
• | Do not eat or drink within 3 hours of retiring for the night; | |||
• | Being overweight makes the symptoms worse. If you need to lose weight, please advice; | |||
• | Do not eat meals that are high in especially the wrong fats and low in fiber; | |||
• | Avoid foods and drinks that cause heartburn and indigestion. You may be affected by some of the following: | |||
a. | hot spicy food; | |||
b. | orange or grapefruit juice; | |||
c. | peppermint and spearmint; | |||
d. | onions; | |||
e. | tomato products; | |||
f. | caffeinated or decaffeinated coffee, soda, chocolate. |
